Shared Repository for research outputs

DigitalNZ provides the Shared Repository on behalf of the Ministry of Research, Science & Technology - MoRST.

The Shared Repository is for use by New Zealand organisations in need of a place to store open access research outputs so that they can be made freely available to the public. The repository is available to Crown Research Institutes, government departments, and other research institutions.

Metadata from the repository is harvested by DigitalNZ. Open access research outputs are available for download through the DigitalNZ search service.

Kete Digital New Zealand

Kete Digital New Zealand is a container where you can put digital content that otherwise would not be available online. The word 'kete' means 'basket' in Māori.

Kete DigitalNZ holds digital content (images, audio, video, text) from individuals and organisations who:

  • want to make it easier for others to discover and interact with unique New Zealand content
  • want to contribute content to DigitalNZ tools and applications, and
  • have no other means of getting small amounts of content online.

Content in the Kete is automatically included in the DigitalNZ search system and API data sharing gateway.

Our Kete is hosted by the Aotearaoa Peoples Network.
